Grosseto. On Saturday 18 May the composer Mario Lavezzi will be the guest of honor for the last act of the Grosseto Music Project, project financed by the Municipality of Grosseto and organized by the Escargot association, which, after 4 months of live evenings and in-depth masterclasses, reaches the end of its first edition with the final of the music contest and a music festival.
Author of many of the most famous songs on the Italian musical scene for artists of the caliber of Fiorella Mannoia, Ornella Vanoni, Lucio Dalla, Gianni Morandi, Alessandra Amoroso, Emma Marrone and many others, Lavezzi will be the president of the jury that will have to decree the winning group of this first edition of the contest, among AriaNera, Minerva 40, Mokabird and the Jazz Quartet Milani/Artuso/Guastalli/Ferrone.
The final
The performance of the young bands is scheduled Saturday 18 May from 9.30pm at the Eden room: after the performances of the finalists, while waiting for the jury’s final verdict, the Miwa and its members, historic band from our area who wanted to give their contribution to the project, participating for free and giving a performance to the entire citizenry in one of the symbolic places of Grosseto music.
Entrance to the evening will be free and bar service will be available.
Collateral initiatives
To precede the big event of the evening, from 4.00 pm onwards there will be a series of events included in the “Grosseto Music Fest” a real music festival, which will see musicians performing in an acoustic set in the streets of the center of Grosseto, accompanied by the Grosseto Philharmonic.
From 5.30pm instead, the Bastione Garibaldi will come alive with an area dedicated to the performances of bands or individuals, an area dedicated to the promotion of local musical realities, projects and events, an area dedicated to a talk with Lavezzi, the singer-songwriter La Luna and the producer Gianluca Capitani, who will also perform live performances.
There will also be space to leave your mark on the “wall” of the project: the Grosseto Music Walla panel where each musician in the area can leave their signature and perhaps even an idea or advice on the Grosseto musical panorama.
