Viterbo – Councilor Aronne on the Bagnaccio spa: “Announcement within 20 days”

Good news for Bagnaccio, but the new installation will be able to count on much more basic services

VITERBO – The city is finally approaching a resolution regarding the Bagnaccio spa area, which has been vacated for some time due to installations that did not comply with the law and which were in conflict with the many constraints present in the area.

Councilor Emanuele Aronne shed light on the issue during today’s city council meeting, explaining the complex situation to the council members. “Within 20 days the tender for sub-concession of water in the Bagnaccio area – he declared – The site is located in an agricultural area, but partly also archaeological. This means that you can plant an umbrella there and little else. For this reason, the discrepancies that were present have been removed.”

These statements suggest that the future installation, whoever wins the tender, will be much simpler and able to offer “more basic” services than the previous one.

As subsequently explained by the councilor, the tender will be public since the law provides so and does not allow any direct award. The mention is obviously a reference to the media sounding board that arose following the removal of the structure that was present there.

“I hope that the site can be reopened soon – he concluded – the offices are working hard to allow this to happen within the timeframe in which it could be done. Perhaps a little too much time was wasted at the beginning searching for ‘shortcut solutions’.”
