“Three days to be happy”: the premiere of the film on San Pardo, on May 19th in Larino

A film set in San Pardo is the craziest and most ambitious thing that could exist. The idea comes from Paolo Ranellucci, who is also the director: why not set a film in the most beautiful context there is? And so, “Three days to be happy” was born, the first film shot entirely during the feast of San Pardo.

The film tells the life, faith and traditions of Larino during the three days of celebration in honor of the patron saint. It is a work that highlights the beauty and authenticity of one of the most heartfelt and popular festivals in Molise. The choice to set the film during this anniversary is not only a tribute to tradition, but also a way to capture the essence of a community that rallies around its values and roots.

The project was made possible thanks to the patronage of the City of Larino and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Molise Region, and found full support from the Larino Historic Center Animators Group association. The collaboration of UILT Molise (Italian Free Theater Union) was fundamental for the organization and composition of the cast, entirely made up of amateur actors and actresses from Molise. This synergy between institutions and local realities has made it possible to create a work that not only tells a story, but also represents an act of love towards the territory and its traditions.

The premiere of the film will be held at the Teatro Risorgimento, a symbolic place full of history, which will welcome spectators in a special evening. Lovers of cinema, local culture and all those who participate in the San Pardo festival every year will have the opportunity to live a unique experience, immersing themselves in the images and sounds of a festival which has always represented the soul of Larino.

Paolo Ranellucci, during the press conference, expressed his gratitude towards all those who contributed to the making of the film: “This project was born from a dream and a passion for our territory. Thanks to the commitment and dedication of many, we have managed to turn a vision into reality. ‘Three days to be happy’ is a tribute to Larino, San Pardo and all the people of Molise who, with their spirit, made this cinematic journey possible.”
