On that occasion, we were the only political force to immediately and determinedly demonstrate our firm opposition.
We did this not only to defend those increasingly rare bulwarks that represent the public service, but also to protect workers, already affected by one of the most disadvantageous national contracts.
Yesterday marked an important milestone: the word was put to an end to this procedure, finally establishing that PAS is and will remain an in-house service.
This result is a victory for all of us, for the port community that benefits from these essential services and for the workers who dedicate their daily efforts to ensuring that PAS continues to operate with the dedication and excellence that distinguishes it.
This success would not have been possible without the determination of President Pino Musolino, who we would like to thank for never giving up.
Thanks also go to the unions and workers, who believed in us until the end and carried out fundamental work.
It is a moment of pride and gratitude, and together we can look to the future with renewed hope and confidence.>>
