Aprilia civica, given the repeated incorrect behavior both from an institutional point of view and from that of the political practice of the Principi majority, communicates that today it will not participate in the Public Works Commission on the Pnrr update.
After the repeated slips of this majority in government of the city, irrelevance often bordering on arrogance and little political correctness, we are forced to send a public signal that resonates loud and clear. We are giving up today’s appointment, but there will be an opportunity to address the topic to clarify the progress of the works financed by the Pnrr. With today’s absence, however, we want to highlight a behavior that is, to say the least, “inappropriate” carried out by those who find themselves managing public affairs.
Respect for the prerogatives of the opposition is a fundamental element of the normal political life of a community. By violating them, the pillars that support democracy are knocked down as well as disrespecting all those citizens who did not choose the centre-right during the last electoral round. We remind those who govern today once again that the electoral response only reached the second round with very high abstention figures.
Our request to convene the Public Works Commission was presented on 04.06.2024. The majority, in defiance of the regulation, convened the Commission only on 05.16.2024. Out of time.
The art. 9 of the regulation for the constitution and functioning of the council commissions of the council groups and of the conference of group leaders mentions the following “… The Commission must be reunited in the case of a request for a convocation by the President of the City Council, the Mayor, the Council Municipal or one third of the members. In this case the meeting must take place within 15 days.
Let’s say enough to this overbearing behavior resulting from an attitude that is no longer acceptable. Furthermore, we would like to point out that we have appropriately informed the Prefecture of this modus operandi.
