A conference on the prevention of diabetes and the importance of physical activity will be held on Monday 20 May, at 4 pm in the Sala Nullo Baldini in via Guaccimanni 10 in Ravenna.
Ravenna, in fact, has joined the Urban Diabetes Declaration, a commitment to accelerate the prevention of type 2 diabetes and its complications, in line with the objectives of the international Cities Changing Diabetes project, thus placing the city at the forefront of the fight to urban diabetes.
The first therapy to treat diabetes is physical activity, considered the best “medicine” together with a correct lifestyle. Among the various topics of the panels, the topic of the benefits of physical exercise will be addressed and some virtuous examples of collective experiences will be analysed.
The conference is organized by Map Italia, the Diabetics Association of Ravenna, and Cities Changes Diabetes, with the patronage of the Municipality of Ravenna and the Local Health Unit of Romagna.
