For the first time in history, Vicenza conquers Taranto. In the ninth direct match between the two teams on the banks of the Ionian Sea, the decision was made by a goal from the “loco” Ferrari in the 10th minute: the Argentine evaded the high marking of the rossoblu defence, beating Vannucchi with a header. Capuano’s team suffered the blow, but managed to regroup and after taking a risk (Vannucchi’s save on Greco) attempted a draw, finding an excellent Confente on his way, who said no to Zonta, Luciani and De Marchi .
