Rome – The governor of Veneto Luca Zaia (Lega), with 70 percent of the vote, is the most popular regional president. This is what emerges from a SWG survey, carried out on a sample of 11,589 adults resident in Italy in the period 21 February – 26 April. Zaia remains stable in first place, gaining one percentage point compared to last year. In the ranking of the work of the regional presidents, Massimiliano Fedriga of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Lega) follows with 64% and Stefano Bonaccini, president of Emilia Romagna (Pd -centre-left) with 62%.
With 56 percent of the votes, the president of Campania Vincenzo De Luca (PD-centre-left) obtains fourth place, gaining seven percentage points compared to 2023. The governor of Sicily, Roberto Schifani (Forza Italia) brings up the rear with 27 percent of consensus (gaining one point compared to 2023), preceded by Francesco Rocca, president of Lazio (Brothers of Italy) with 29 percent: one percentage point less than last year. The ranking sees the governor of Calabria Occhiuto in fifth place. They are followed by: Cirio (Piedmont), Bardi (Basilicata), Giani (Tuscany), Emiliano (Puglia), Fontana (Lombardy), Acquaroli (Marche), Toti (Liguria), Marsilio (Abruzzo), Tesei (Umbria).
