With their music, Pooh celebrated love, friendship, freedom, the value of democracy and peace, themes that are more important today than ever.

A close bond, not only professional and often also in the sign of solidarity, that between the Poohs and Tuscany. A bond that began over 50 years ago and will be renewed this summer in the two concerts scheduled for July 25th at the Medici Park in Pratolino on the occasion of the Musart Festival and August 7th at Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi.

For these reasons and for their splendid career, which consecrates them the longest-lasting band in Italy, the president of the Tuscany Region today awarded Pooh the golden Pegasus, the highest recognition of the Region which makes the presence of the musical group in Tuscany.

The setting for the ceremony was the Medici Park of Pratolino, the largest landscape park in Tuscany which hosts the Colossus of the Apennines – the work of Giambologna – included among the UNESCO heritage sites. A place of extraordinary beauty, underlined the president, which will enhance the quality of the cultural event which, as part of Musart, will be held there next July.

And also for this reason the Region has given its highest recognition to Pooh, a group that wrote songs that have moved generations, one of the bands that have made the history of Italian music and that have won the hearts of millions of fans: a precious heritage of Italian song.
