“To Filippo, Lorenzo, Matteo, Damiano and Fatima I offer the congratulations of all of Veneto for the well-deserved recognition of Standard Bearer of the Republic. A team of representatives of our region that once again gives us the opportunity to be proud of our young people. In them we recognize the many young people who know how to show the way to us adults too; altruistic, courageous, ingenious, animated by community spirit. Solidarity, humanity and industriousness are values that have always found great expression among the Venetians. These young people make us proud because, although there are those who cannot see it, they confirm that the generational witness can find safe hands.”
With these words the President of the Veneto Region congratulates Filippo Mutta, 18 years old, from Marano Vicentino (VI), Lorenzo Sassaro, 17 years old, from Valdagno (VI), Matteo Ridolfi, 14 years old, from Colognola ai Colli (VR) , Damiano Toniolo, 15 years old, from Villa del Conte (PD), Fatima Sadkaoui, 15 years old, from Torrebelvicino (VI), the five young people from Veneto among the 29 to whom the Head of State Sergio Mattarella awarded the honor of Standard bearer of the Republic.
“Reading the reasons for the concession – continues the Governor – that universe of interests and sensitivity of our children emerges. There are those who have made a new cyber defense system available to everyone or have discovered a new star, there are those who with resourcefulness and responsibility have rescued and resuscitated a passer-by suffering from cardiac arrest, those who during Covid have transformed their passion in a book and the latter in a charity occasion, who helped the foreign companion towards effective and concrete integration. All stories with which our young people communicate to us that the collective good is not an unattainable dream but is the result of the choices that each of us is able to make and carry forward”.
