Ragusa – Following a resolution dated March 8, the ASP of Ragusa has announced a public competition based on qualifications and exams to fill 85 permanent medical director positions in the following disciplines: 4 General Surgery, 6 Orthopedics and Traumatology, 1 Vascular surgery, 2 Geriatrics, 1 Otolaryngology, 5 Urology, 20 Emergency and emergency medicine, 1 Radiotherapy, 2 Infectious diseases, 22 Anesthesia and resuscitation, 1 Transfusion medicine, 1 Medical genetics, 1 Child neuropsychiatry, 2 Pharmacology and Clinical Toxicology, 4 Food and Nutrition Hygiene, 1 Occupational Medicine and Workplace Safety, 5 Organization of Basic Health Services, 6 Psychiatry.
The publication of the notice in the Official Journal of the Region and, in extract, in the Official Journal of the Italian Republic, officially starts the recruitment procedures. It will be possible to submit applications by 2 June 2024. The extraordinary commissioner of the ASP of Ragusa, Dr. Giuseppe Drago, explains that “with the reopening of the competition season, consistently with the 2024-26 Requirements Plan shared by the regional Health Department, the Company’s desire to make up for the shortage of doctors is confirmed. As highlighted by the numbers – says Drago – there remain critical issues relating to the Emergency Department and the specialty of Anesthesia and Resuscitation, branches for which we are making every effort to guarantee continuity of care, also through the awarding of freelance roles”.
