Cocaine sweets: arrested – La Voce di Rovigo

He hid cocaine, as well as other drugs, in candy.

The carabinieri of the operational and mobile unit of the Rovigo Company arrested a 48-year-old Italian citizen, resident in the capital of Polesine held responsible – in an accusatory hypothesis – of “detention for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances”. He gives it

“The military, last evening, have started an observation service near a public business in San Martino di Venezze, where they spotted a car, with only the driver on board, wandering suspiciously in a “sensitive” area. In the circumstance, with discretion, they proceeded to check the vehicle and the nervous reaction of the driverthey decided to investigate further by carrying out a search.”

“The activity immediately gave positive feedback since dozens of doses of various narcotic substances were found in two packets of sweets held by the subject, already ready for the withholding of transfer, and quantified at a total of 20 grams of cocaine, hashish and marijuana. The search was then extended to the subject’s home where the military recovered and seized further quantities of drugs, in particular over 30 grams of cocaine, 63 grams of hashish, 28 grams of marijuana and 2 grams of methamphetamine as well as two precision scales and various material used to package the doses”.

“At the end of the activities the subject was declared under arrest and, upon order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rovigo, placed under house arrest in his home awaiting the validation hearing before the judge of the Court of Rovigo, which was held this morning and for which the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested and obtained the validation of the arrest and the application of the “precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the PG every two weeks and the obligation to reside in the Municipality of Rovigo”.
