– Il Cittadino di Monza e Brianza The Minerali & Bijoux Fair returns to the Monza Arena, the event aimed at collectors, enthusiasts and families

As per tradition, the “Minerali & Bijoux” Fair returns to Monza on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June, now in its 57th edition.

The event, organized by the Lombard Mineralogical Group, the Italian Mineralogical Association and the Lombard Mineralogical Journal in collaboration with Estrela Fiere, will be held at the Palazzetto dello Sport-Arena in Monza. This year too there will be many exhibitors from Italy and abroad who will offer Italian and foreign minerals, fossils and shells from around the world, gems, semi-precious stones and costume jewellery, components for artisanal and do-it-yourself creations, as well as minerals microscope. During the days it will be possible to attend gold panning demonstrations. In this regard, last year the award-winning gold digger Luca Pasqualini entertained crowds of enthusiastic children who tried their hand at the exciting search for the glittering straws. An interactive laboratory, organized by the Ticino Pavese Valley Researchers Association, will teach the search for minerals in water.

Among the novelties this year there will be a thematic exhibition born from the passion of Luigi Mariani. A “Revisitation of the imperial gems” that pays homage to the city of Monza, in particular to the Iron Crown and the treasures preserved in the Monza Cathedral Museum. Antonio Barone will illustrate his passion for sulfur gem cutting while some mineralogical samples from private collections will complete the proposal of the sulphide class. A specific area will be dedicated to the world of micromounts, the minerals that can be observed under a microscope due to their beauty. A space will be set up for children where they can try their hand at searching for minerals in a special canal and dedicate themselves to searching for gold with exceptional guides. There will be exhibitors showcasing specialized equipment such as microscopes, magnifying glasses, containers, forceps, tweezers and more. A section will be reserved for specialized publishing with manuals, books and sector magazines. The event, due to its vast range of proposals, is aimed at adults and children, collectors and simple enthusiasts, those who want to purchase quality objects without spending a fortune and those who simply want to browse and, perhaps, discover a new passion. The event enjoys the support of VeroVolley and Oparena and the patronage of the Municipality of Monza. Entrance times: 10am-6pm. The ticket costs 5 euros (free up to 12 years). Animals are not allowed inside the building.
