“A night to remember” finalist at the REC Film Festival in Rimini | Today Treviso | News


MONTEBELLUNA – The short film “A night to remember“, the result of the talent and commitment of students from 10 schools, obtained a prestigious award at the fifteenth edition of the Children and Cinema REC Film Festival of Rimini. Promoted by the association CombineActions of Montebelluna, this cinema education project, known as “Beauty Storytellers“, he stood out among over 150 nominated works coming from all over Italy, entering the final in the “Young“. The REC Film Festival is not just a cinematographic event, but an opportunity for meeting and exchange between young filmmakers from different backgrounds, with the aim of enhancing youth creativity in the cinematographic language. This annual event represents a unique opportunity for participants to share ideas, passions and interests related to the world of cinema.

The selection of the short film “A night to remember” aroused great enthusiasm among the students and schools involved in the project. A delegation made up of fourteen young authors, coming from “Einaudi-Scarpa”, “Maffioli” and “Veronese” institutes, entered Rimini on May 2nd, ready to present its work and actively participate in the festival’s activities. During their stay in Rimini, the Montebelluna students had the opportunity to meet other young directors and directors participate as members of the Junior Jury, contributing to the evaluation and awarding of works in the “Senior” category. This experience not only enriched the students’ educational background, but also consolidated the link between schools and the world of cinema.

The success of “A night to remember” at the REC Film Festival represents only one of the stages of a broader journey that has involved thousands of primary and secondary school students, offering them the opportunity to express themselves through audiovisual language and creating meaningful connections between different schools. The “Beauty Storytellers” project, conceived and conducted by the CombinAzioni association in collaboration with the Cinema Italia Eden and the Cineforum Gagliardihas also obtained important recognition in other cinematographic events, confirming the value and originality of the work carried out by Montebelluna students in the field of youth film production.
