Trapani closes with another victory: 4-2 at Sant’Agata

Trapani closes the extraordinary ride of this Serie D – Group I championship with another victory. The final 4-2 against Sant’Agata means the 30th victory out of 34 matches (the other four were draws), for a total of 94 points which represent the new record for the category which is destined to last over time.

It was a match that Trapani brought home despite not having the competitive malice that we have seen so many times this season. Sant’Agata played their game, helped on some occasions (see Ujkaj’s topic on the occasion of the first draw), having come to Trapani with the need to score points to maintain fifth place which would have meant playoffs: unfortunately for them this was not the case, because the simultaneous victory of Acireale in San Cataldo led to the overtaking of the Acireale team.

Despite what was anticipated on the eve of the match, Mr. Torrisi chose the practically starting lineup with Ujkaj in goal, Pino, Cristini, Sabatino and Guerriero in defense, Ba and Acquadro in front of the defensive line, Kragl, Marigosu and Convitto behind the striker Buba Samake.

The match immediately went downhill for the Torrisi gang, thanks to Alberto Acquadro’s goal after just four minutes directly from a free kick.

But unlike other times, the Granata (in white shirts) did not continue to press the accelerator pedal, leaving room for the opposing team who almost found the equalizer at the end of the first half with Alagna and the complicity of Ujkaj.

Same script in the second half with Trapani taking the lead again with Acquadro with a great shot from outside the area.

But once again the guests found the strength to put the game back on balance. Alagna was once again the protagonist and this time served the assist for Mincica.

The match ends at the end when first Bollino converts a nice personal action by Samake by scoring into an empty net and, in full injury time, with a splendid goal by Besmir Balla which sets the final result at 4-2.

At the end of the match, the stage was set up on which the Granata team received the cup for victory in the championship.
