(AGENPARL) – Sun 05 May 2024 Udine, 5 May – The Region welcomes to a land
who welcomes you with great pleasure and is confident of being able to offer you
your commitment and certain of finding guidance.
? in summary the welcome message that the regional councilor
to Health addressed, on behalf of the President of the Region,
to the new archbishop of Udine Monsignor Riccardo Lamba
in the meeting what? followed in the archbishop’s palace afterwards
of the holy installation mass in the city cathedral.
The member of the Council highlighted how Friuli is one
land with a hard-working people and with roots founded in
Patriarchate of Aquileia, which had to overcome challenges and
difficult experiences, living in an area on the border of Europe
Western in a contrasting pattern with behavior
daily the people helped to overcome and with a natural
projection towards the Balkan area, a living piece of Europe
dramatic risks and conflicts.
Due to its geographical location, Friuli Venezia Giulia – has
underlined the councilor – ? recently chosen by the Government
to organize aid following the war in Ukraine,
thanks to the wealth of volunteers who can? count and which places the
region in the lead in Italy for the ratio between volunteers and citizens
residents and thanks to the presence of civil protection
recently greeted with great warmth also by Pope Francis.
Has the councilor understood this reality? today in history and has
remembered that today marks the eve of the 48th
anniversary of the earthquake, a tragic moment that saw the
community? rally around their bishop Msgr. Alfredo
Battisti, one of the protagonists of that experience from which it was born
what ? considered one of the best models in the world
reconstruction.
Solidarity? national and international – ? been reminded of
mgr. Lamba, son of emigrants in Venezuela – moved for
these people who emigrated after the war and became known for their
its values and industriousness.
The final appeal with which you? addressed to the member of the Council?
been to work together to compose and fight the
increasingly inequalities? obvious, overcome the difficulties? of a
complex time in a region no longer? border but heart of
a Europe that presents itself with tensions that no one thought of
having to attend again.
