ROVIGO – La Solmec Rhodigium Basketball could only start from its general on the field with the confirmations for what already seems like the imminent 2024/25 LBF Serie A2 season. Following the confirmations of the couple of coaches, the first red-blue player who will defend the Rhodigium colors again this season is Silvia Viviani.
The playmaker born in 2001 thus begins his third season in the Polesine capital, the second in A2 with the Rhodigium shirt. After completing his youth career in the ranks of Famila Basket Schio, Viviani began his career in Serie A2 with Basket Sarcedo. Also in the Vicenza area, the playmaker spent two seasons before moving to Sanga Milano for 2021/22. From there, she made the decision to take a step back to Serie B in Rovigo, returning to A2 this season, for the first time as a true protagonist. Silvia Viviani took over the keys of the attack directed by coach Giulia Pegoraro, averaging 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, with a 22-point exploit in the victory against Alperia Basket Club Bolzano on the 13th matchday.
An emotional Silvia Viviani comments on the renewal with Solmec Rhodigium Basket: “I am truly thrilled with the result achieved in the season that has just ended: it was a year full of difficulties but which we were able to overcome in the decisive moments of the last matches! Rovigo has become home for me and the people I have dealt with are part of a large family that over these years has never made me miss anything! Continuing my journey here is a great opportunity for basketball growth, but above all human growth. I am extremely happy for the opportunity that the company is giving me”.
