Reports and protests do not lead to solutions, leaving the community to question the future of the road connection
Even after the storms ended, the Busto Arsizio bridge which leads to Castellanza continues to remain impracticable, with stagnant water which persists even many hours after the rain has passed.
Despite the barriers positioned to block traffic, numerous motorists, now accustomed to the scene, ignore the ban and attempt to pass anyway, visually assessing the height of the water. On the contrary, cyclists and motorcyclists show greater hesitation in tackling the obstacle.
This uncomfortable situation has generated numerous reports and protests from residents and commercial operators in the area, including the appeal of the entrepreneur Riccardo Comerio, who addressed their complaints to the Municipality of Busto Arsizio.
But the problem persists: this vital connection, particularly busy due to its proximity to the Castellanza North station, continues to be subject to flooding, raising doubts about the ability and willingness of the local administration to intervene effectively to resolve this recurring emergency. Will this chronic problem ever be solved?
