To celebrate the 200 years the Casteldaccia Cellars open their doors, from 11.00 to 19.00, for an entire day dedicated to wine, gastronomy and Sicilian culture, to the discovery of new labels and an important wine-cultural project that tells the story of this beautiful corner of Sicily.
A sensorial journey between history and tradition
The program of Open Cellars 2024 to Duke of Salaparuta is full of events and proposals for all tastes:
- Guided tours of the cellars to discover the secrets of Duca di Salaparuta wine production and immerse yourself in the history that has linked this company to the Sicilian territory since 1824.
- Tastings of the Duca di Salaparuta labels, from the Autentici di Sicilia & Le Tenute all’Ala and Duca Brut lines, accompanied by expertly selected typical products of Sicilian cuisine (at a cost of 35 euros per person which includes the glass with the bag).
- Masterclasses with the guided tour of the cellar and tasting of 6 wines in the cellar: Kados 2023, Bianca di Valguarnera 2020, Passo delle mule 2022, Triskelè 2021, Duca Enrico 2020, Duca Enrico 2004. The Masterclass (at a cost of 25 euros) can be combined at brunch (at a cost of 55 euros per person).
- AperiDucafrom 3.30pm to 7.00pm, an exclusive aperitif (cost €20) with guided tour of the cellars, food pairing and tasting of the Authentic di Sicilia & Le Tenute, Ala and Duca Brut lines.
- Live music of the Francies group and DJ Dario Schifani for a cheerful and convivial atmosphere.
- Photo exhibition “New York | Urban Snapshots” curated by Roberto Sardina.
- Guided tours in the area at the Guttuso Museum of Villa Cattolica, Villa Palagonia and at the Anchovy Museum in Aspra.

Open Cellars 2024 to Duke of Salaparuta it is an opportunity not to be missed for the whole family. Children up to 5 years old can participate in the activities for free, while minors between 6 and 17 years old can purchase a ticket (food only) at a cost of 15 euros.
