36-year-old reported: Drunk risks head-on collision with police car

He risked causing a head-on collision with a patrol from the Agrigento Police Headquarters. The policeman driving the official car, by swerving in time, avoided a serious accident, with all the consequences of the case. The person driving that car, which was proceeding in zig and zags and entering the oncoming lane, continued straight ahead without stopping. But she didn’t make it very far: she was chased and stopped a little later. This is a thirty-six year old from Agrigento, who tested positive for alcohol, with a value of four times the limit allowed by law. A complaint was filed against him at the Public Prosecutor’s Office for driving while intoxicated and his license was withdrawn. The car was not seized because it was registered to a company. The woman driving the car the other evening was returning home. Suddenly, having reached the curve of the temple of Juno, in via Panoramica dei Templi, probably due to the fumes of alcohol, she invaded the opposite lane risking a head-on impact with the police patrol. The officer driving promptly reversed the direction of travel and then started chasing that car. Once the thirty-six-year-old was stopped she immediately showed clear signs of drunkenness. She was subjected to an alcohol test using a breathalyzer and was found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.20 g/l.
