Simone Perrotta, World Champion midfielder who grew up playing football in Reggina Football, he spoke in Reggio Calabria in an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Italian national team. Interviewed by Corriere della Calabria, he also spoke about the current football reality heir to the amaranth history:
“I’m sorry to see you in Serie D today. Last year was still a positive year. They left when the other teams were already formed. They finished fourth. However, Serie D is an extremely complicated and difficult championship. There are important squares. Then when you are used to living in different categories it is not always easy to start again, but I am sure that in any case Reggio Calabria and Reggina will soon get out of this situation“.
Perrotta remembers his beginnings: “These images and these memorabilia remind me of where I started from, I played near here. I was 14 years old and from that moment my career changed. Today I am retracing all the stages of my life, not just football, and going back and seeing an exhibition on the history of the national team excites me“.
