Grosseto. It wasn’t easy for coach Enrico Ferrari’s Invictavolleyball to overcome the Norcineria Toscana of Foiano della Chiana. The young people from Grosseto manage to win the match only at the end of a very long and hard-fought match, which ends with the success of the Maremma team. The final result is three sets to two with scores of 17/25.18/25.25/23.25/23.15/9 for the red and white team. A victory that leaves the home team’s promotion ambitions intact, as they have earned the chance to return to the field next week at the home of the opposing team. The match immediately becomes difficult for the boys from the Grosseto club, who go down two sets to zero. The rival team does nothing wrong and manages everything, imposing its pace as it had already shown in race one. But coach Ferrari’s boys have a great desire for redemption and little by little they manage to get back into the game. The next two sets are full of tension. The hosts try to recover, their rivals are not up to it. A good match emerges, but in the end it’s Invictavolleyball that ties the score. Easier, so to speak, the tie break, which sees the red and whites immediately move ahead in the score and remain there until the end. “Foiano didn’t give us anything by playing an almost perfect match in the first two sets” commented the Grosseto coach Enrico Ferrari at the end of the match, adding “We struggled to put the ball on the ground and defend. Then I changed the diagonal and replaced Tassi and Massetti with Ferrari and Lazzeretti and it was decisive. The key to the success was the more precise defense during the third set and having read the trajectories of the Arezzo attackers well, often touching them on the block and taking away the rhythm of our opponents.
