The commissioner structure for the reclamation of the Crotone site of national interest is completed and strengthened. On Friday 3 May, the extraordinary commissioner Emilio Errigo signed an agreement with Ispra-SNPA, the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research represented by the director general Maria Siclari.
The decree appointing the commissioner authorizes the latter “to exercise this right with companies and public bodies and, in extreme ratio if deemed absolutely necessary and urgent, allows the use of highly specialized departments and units for environmental protection and safeguard, of public health, biodiversity, ecosystems and from Nbcr contaminating sources, the Armed Forces and the Police” recalls a note from the commissioner structure.
The first framework agreement was signed with Sogesid spa, an in-house structure of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, “considered today a public reality of excellence in the panorama of Italian environmental engineering” underlines the Note. “The extraordinary commissioner then deemed it necessary to make use of the regional environmental protection agency of Calabria (Arpacal) as expected”.
