The Ferrara Provincial Deputation of Homeland History presented the new book depot at ‘Casa Gombi’. Yesterday was a significant day. In the morning, the members’ meeting took place for the Ferrara Provincial Deputation of Homeland History, an association which since 1884 has been committed to safeguarding and enhancing the historical-artistic heritage of the area with conferences, initiatives and scientific publications.

The meeting, in the Sala Agnelli of the Ariostea library, allowed the Deputation to promote their new book deposit, which thanks to the availability of the Municipality of Ferrara is now hosted in the context of Casa Gombi in via Carlo Mayr 10-12. At the end of the assembly, professor Rita Fabbri and architect Marco Bussoli (University of Ferrara) gave a thematic talk entitled ‘Casa Gombi. A jewel of Ferrara architecture rediscovered thanks to the Deputation. An occasion where the events of the construction and conservation of one of the oldest buildings in the historic center of Ferrara were retraced. A day that continued in the afternoon, when the new headquarters of the Deputation’s book deposit (Casa Gombi in via Carlo Mayr 10-12), after an official moment, was opened to all citizens for an inaugural aperitif. There will be the possibility, in exchange for a liberal donation, to enrich one’s personal library by choosing some volumes from the immense catalog of the Deputation’s publications, many of which are now in limited editions, including the fundamental transcription of the fifteenth-century chronicle by Ugo Caleffini , and the recent miscellany of studies in memory of the maestro Adriano Franceschini.
