“Together with Anselmo, an alternative project for city leadership”

The reformist component of the coalition that supports Fabio Anselmo’s candidacy is in full swing and wants to have its say. Giving the ‘blessing’ to the Pact for Ferrara – the list composed of Action and the Italian Republican Party – is the group leader of the Calendians in the Chamber, Matteo Richetti who yesterday afternoon appeared at the banquet in via San Romano. “It is important to support Fabio’s candidacy – said the deputy – because he has been able to build around himself not only a very broad coalition, which intercepts many sensitivities of which he is the point of synthesis. But above all because he is proposing an alternative city project to the current one.” According to Richetti, the Fabbri administration has “taken Ferrara off the radar of the strategic development of the Region. The opposite of what a city with these characteristics would need”. And here we get to the heart of the themes brought forward, as a party, by Action. “Our values are very clear – he states – and are aimed at encouraging development, in the first instance, by enhancing the entrepreneurial forces of this territory. Businesses need to be at the center of regional and national political reasoning, not isolated as is the case happened with this extreme of Fabbri. Ferrara deserves more, we need to work in this direction to bring a government alternative”. The provincial coordinator of Action, Danny Farinelli, thinks the same. “The Pact for Ferrara has chosen to support Anselmo’s candidacy – so the calendiano – because we believe that the city deserves more. The Cona affair, in relation to donations, is a clear example that the administration with its voters is not has been transparent in recent years. Anselmo receives the assist and, although he states that he does not “want to cause controversy”, he reveals that he has “further elements” on this issue which “is not isolated, but represents a rather widespread way of doing things by the administration”. Regarding the competitor, the center-left candidate is clear. “Fabbri – he says – cloaks himself in moderation, but in reality he is an extremist. Fabbri is Vannacci and represents everything that this city does not need. This city is ageing, it is losing ground in terms of competitiveness and entrepreneurs continue to ask for greater openness to the outside”. The seal is from the PRI secretary, Renata Gagliani. “Bringing the symbol of the Ivy back to Ferrara, which means safeguarding constitutional values – he comments – can only be a source of pride. Obviously, supporting Anselmo”.
