ROVIGO – The complex that is rising on the outskirts of Rovigoin the area offormer Masko nightclub and the former Crepaldi furniture factory, is a project destined to amaze. Not just because it will be a unique at level worldbut also because what he is achieving Marco Leskothe founder ofagency of viale della Scienza which bears his name in the aluminum components, is destined to revolutionize the concept of “factory” as it has been understood until now. «It will be a beautiful place first and foremost – underlines the entrepreneur – because freedom brings beauty, beauty brings dignity and from dignity comes peace. Italian taste is unrepeatable in the world.”

And if this is said by a man who has created an industrial jewel from nothing that has a turnover of millions of euros and on which multinationals in the sector have set their sights, one can expect anything. To see, all you have to do is wait just a few months when Lesko will move its offices and production to the new 8,000 square meter headquarters nearing completion on state road 16, in the Arquà Polesine area. A colossal project that bears the signature of star architect Marco Casamonti of the Archea studio in Florence, and supported by an investment of 12 million euros. From the time the first column was installed on October 16th to December 7th, the company received 82 resumes.

THE PROJECT
The materials, first of all: only wood, aluminum and glass. A load-bearing structure and a wooden roof supported by 77 columns, divided into eleven rows, with unprecedented fully glazed side walls. No high shelves to limit the view, windows open onto the countryside and, inside, an 800 square meter garden with 80 orange and lemon trees under a glass ceiling. 16 kilometers of cables will run under the hypoxic resin floor. The subservices? All camouflaged in the name of functionality and efficiency. The lighting system is also innovative with 4 kilometers of lighting fixtures and 308 spotlights inserted into the columns and capable of changing color every week. «Because it will have to be a beautiful place for those who work there, but also beautiful for those who look from outside» underlines Lesko, who personally took care of the details by putting technicians and craftsmen on the ropes to make his idea of a “factory” come true. «When the suppliers had to talk to me they were terrified» he jokes. But, in the end, he got what he wanted: inside, an optimized space for those who have to work, and outside 7 thousand square meters organized for the movement of goods, material storage, parking and green area. Above all, a place where you can feel part of something stronger than a mere workplace. And to remember this, in the new Lesko headquarters there will be totems for the principles of the “dodecalogue” developed by the founder, starting with respect in all its facets. «Through work you understand who you are – Marco Lesko is convinced – and if in a company money becomes the goal, it means that the objective has been lost. The factory is “inside”, in the motivation and passion that must move the individual. We need to go beyond production, think about a vision for society and young people.” And an essential part of the project is aimed precisely at young people. Once fully operational, the company will work on ten production lines and two shifts. Lesko has already started talks to hire new employees. «The company has the potential to reach fifty million in annual turnover-he explains. I still have many ideas to realize.”
