Paolo Romano arrives in Foligno with “Demasiado”

The theater will be at the center of the next event signed “Performer in Umbria – Piu”, the series of live shows promoted by the Cultural Association for Social Promotion “Aurora”, now in its third edition this year. On Sunday 12 May, at 9pm, Paolo Romano will take the stage at the Santa Caterina Auditorium in Foligno. Actor and director, known to the general public also for the role of Eugenio Nicotera in the famous soap opera “Un posto al sole” broadcast on Rai 3, Romano will stage the show “Demasiado”, based on the novel of the same name written by Sandro Medici , which will see him on the Foligno stage with the live musical accompaniment of Manolo Macrì. “Demasiado” is the book that recounts “the cruise of the missing revolutionaries” of July 1978. A legendary Atlantic crossing which after thirteen days and thirteen nights of navigation landed in the port of Havana, unloading a thousand delegates. Landed in the Cuban capital to participate in the International Youth Festival, together with thousands and thousands of other young people from all over the world, from Australia to the Middle East, from Canada to Indochina. A theatrical adaptation has been created from this overflowing story, published in the summer of 2016 by Deriveapprodi, a publisher incidentally in tune with marine currents. There is an insistent curiosity around this show, above all because it arises from the unprecedented collaboration between two rather different characters, although both do not disdain mustaches and frequent milongas: Paolo Romano, performer, screenwriter and director, and Sandro Medici, author of book.
