From the discussion in the consultation, the 2024/2025 Umbria hunting calendar has been partially modified compared to the original draft.

The news had been in the air for a few days already: compared to the first draft, the 2024/2025 Umbria hunting calendar emerged from the discussion in consultation (all hunters’ associations are in favour, unanimously for the third consecutive year) sees the quarter for wild boar hunting slide forward, now between 20 October and 19 January in all three ATCs; therefore the hypothesis of a differentiated opening between Perugia and Terni is out of the question.

Awaiting Ispra’s response on hunting derogation of starlings and the assessments of the department on magpies and hooded crows, at the moment the pre-opening only concerns the turtle dove, only on one day, 1st September, and only from a stakeout; in order to monitor the progress of the collection it will be necessary to use the digital hunting card.

The general opening of the hunt remains set for the third Sunday (15th) of September; the season will remain open until January 30th (the 31st is Friday, a day of hunting silence), even if the final provision will inevitably provide for closures differentiated by species.
