Weekend: the Anticyclone returns, but for Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May the forecasts have changed a little due to the risk of some showers especially on Saturday morning, but then we will be able to spend a largely sunny weekend with milder temperatures on almost all Italian regions.
The weather-climatic swing therefore continues in our country with continuous reversals between the first hot weather and sudden storms: the cause is the lack of a strong and stable high blood pressure figure capable of guaranteeing long-lasting atmospheric stability.
A new change should take place precisely in conjunction with next weekend when: from Saturday 4 May the African anticyclone will begin to pulsate more and more, stretching towards the Mediterranean Sea to guarantee more sunny spaces, especially in the central-southern regions and on the two major islands.
In the North, however, the passage of cooler and more unstable air currents at high altitude (driven by a cyclone located over central Europe) will trigger thunderstorms in particular in the mountainous areas and in a more isolated manner on the plains of Piedmont and Lombardy (especially in the morning). As often happens in this season, these will probably be short-lived phenomena: in fact, after the rainy passage, the sun will prevail.
In short, let’s enjoy what will be pleasant sunny weekendthe bad weather could soon roar back, as early as next week, with the transit of at least two new cyclones over our country.
