CIVITAVECCHIA – Colombia’s flagship and training ship “ARC Gloria” has arrived in port.
The visit constitutes a privileged opportunity to promote the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Colombia and Italy and the exchange of naval traditions. After 12 years, the ARC Gloria arrives in Italian waters following the visit received by the Italian Training Ship Amerigo Vespucci in 2023.
The ship will remain moored in the Port of Civitavecchia at dock 8 until May 2nd at 5pm. During its stay in port, the ship will welcome visits from the public on Wednesday May 1st from 9am to 10pm and Thursday May 2nd from 9am to 1pm.
A series of special events are also planned to celebrate the friendship between Colombia and Italy.
A day of celebration will be held on May 1st to mark the visit and Labor Day with cultural and traditional Colombian events, including music, cultural presentations and tastings of culinary specialties.
Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant and colorful atmosphere of Colombian culture, being able to explore the ship’s interiors and interact with crew members.
