Fight against poverty, twelve social inclusion internships activated in Teramo – ekuonews.it

TERAMO – As part of the “Internships and work-experiences aimed at social inclusion, people’s autonomy and rehabilitation” service, already promoted by the Municipality of Teramo and financed from the Poverty Fund activated by the Ministry of Social Policies and Labor, the Municipal Council, in the last session, has allocated 43,200 euros of the services portion of the same fund to the activation of 12 social inclusion internships, through the scrolling of the already existing ranking.

The internships, aimed at individuals who do not benefit from income support measures residing in the Municipality of Teramo and belonging to families with complex needs and already taken care of by social services, aim to encourage the socio-work reintegration of the people with fragility, offering them the opportunity to access a personalized path aimed at acquiring transversal skills and abilities, necessary to encourage the strengthening of relational and technical-professional skills.

“Our administration has invested a lot, in recent years, in those projects and services aimed at promoting the social and working inclusion of all citizens – points out the Councilor with responsibility for social issues Ilaria De Sanctis – and these internships go precisely in this direction. When we talk about social issues we are not just talking about assistance, but about a complex series of activities that must be aimed not only at guaranteeing contingent support to citizens in difficulty but above all at providing them with the tools to take control of their lives again , enhance their skills and fully reintegrate into the social fabric”.

Paths like the one activated under the Poverty Fund, with the activation of these internships”.
