After Siena and Legnano, Victor San Marino disaster: “Striscia la Notizia” investigates Montanari

After the visit to Pistoiese, about a month before the arrest of the guarantor who resigned from the Orange trust but in fact the owner of the company Maurizio De Simone, Chiara Squaglia, correspondent of the well-known satirical news program Canale 5 Striscia la Notiziavisited the Victor San Marino, an ambitious team newly promoted to Serie D which even slipped out of the playoff zone of Group D after the club’s move to Emiliano Montanari, defined by Squaglia as “the scourge of football”. Reason? It’s that Montanari who was president of the failed Siena, and who then landed at Legnanoa club now in disarray managed by former Alessandria player Enea Benedetto.

Alessandria which still plays in the Serie C championship, Group A, but has been relegated, considering that the gray championship effectively ended two weeks ago, well in advance of the end of the regular season. In addition to results that were practically never achieved, the performance of the Piedmontese team was also affected by repeated penalties due to a precarious financial situation.

But let’s go back to the San Marino team. Good words for Montanari, they were spoken byformer club president Luca Della Balda: “From what I understand, Montanari was not supported in Siena by people who perhaps should have supported him, in Legnano the same. But we know, no matter what anyone says, that he is a serious, capable and competent entrepreneur.” He echoes the Sports Director Gianluca Bollinistill in office: “In San Marino he did what was in the company’s agreements, so we can’t help but speak highly of him.”

Squaglia, however, continues to declare herself perplexed, and tries to contact the person concerned; Montanari, however, did not make any statements. All that remains is to wait for the evolution of the situation.
