The Annual Assembly was an opportunity to toast the start of the Centenary and reward veterans and driving pioneers

Festive atmosphere at the Aci of Teramo where the usual annual meeting of members was the opportunity to announce the start of activities for the centenary of the foundation of the organisation, but also to reward those members, reported by the delegations,
who stood out for their virtue and prudence behind the wheel. During the meeting, the president Carmine Cellinese and the director Donato Ciunci exposed the final data of the activities carried out in 2023. The ACI of Teramo confirmed itself as the largest Automobile Club in Abruzzo, counting 9371 members and over 200 people in possession of a sports license. The 2023 budget also closed in profit with an increase in the assets of the Corso Cerulli Authority which has always stood out for its great training and awareness work regarding compliance with the Highway Code. In the past year, 760 young people from the province of Teramo were involved in road safety education projects and many initiatives were set up under the aegis of ACI. Worth mentioning, in particular, is the ACI Storico re-enactment of the “Il Volante d’Argento” race held in the ducal city of Atri last August. The occasion of the approval of the financial statements and the state of the art of the institutional activities were the setting for what is traditionally one of the most evocative moments for the Aci of Teramo which this year turns 100 years since its birth and which is preparing to spread a full calendar of initiatives of great importance and public involvement.
On behalf of the Teramo Automobile Club, therefore, the president Carmine Cellinese wanted to recognize and pay homage to the deserving members, i.e. those motorists who, for 40, 50 And 60 years have driven their car without incurring sanctions that have led to the suspension or withdrawal of their driving licence, classified respectively in “Driving Veteran”, “Driving Pioneer” and “Super Driving Pioneer”.

The 5 “Veterans of the guide” are: Gabriele Marramà, Mario Di Giuseppe, Enzo Peracchia, Carlo Marrangone and Cosimo Talamo.

The 6 members awarded as “Pioneers of the Guide” are: «Mario Muzzurru, Gabriele Zuccarelli, Flaviano Di Giosafat, Roberto Odoardi, Gino Dell’Estate, Dario Antonucci.

A further six members were awarded as “Super Driving Pioneers”, namely: Silvano Marucci, Fernando Cantagalli, Franco Mosca, Flaviano Angelini, Luigi DI Blasio, Gianfranco Cocciolito.

Finally, Alessandro Tarquini was awarded as “Super Ultra Pioneer of driving” with 70 years of driving license, and lastly those who have completed 30 years or more of seniority in the association: Mario Di Giuseppe, Francesco Cavi, Guido Canzio, Antonio Fasulo, Antonio Norscia , Alfredo Ioannone, Maria Grazia Mercanti, Adriano Leone, Valerio Di Natale, Franco Mosca, Flaviano Di Giosafat and Antonio De Luca.

«I find this celebratory moment highly symbolic – he comments the president of the Aci of Teramo Carmine Cellinese – since observance of the highway code translates into respect for life and others. This is why this circumstance represents a way to express gratitude towards all those motorists who, with their judicious behaviour, have never risked their lives or jeopardized the safety of others.”
