Saturday, at 8.45pm, at the Cineteatro Buonarroti in Civitavecchia, appointment with the first documentary that investigates the thread that links the meat industry, lobbies and political power. At the center are the billions of euros that Europe allocates to intensive farming, which mistreats animals, pollutes the environment and represents a danger for future pandemics.
Food For Profit not only shows the horror of intensive farming, but with a team of international experts it addresses the main problems linked to this type of industrial production: water pollution, exploitation of migrants, loss of biodiversity and antibiotic resistance. The call at the end of the film is loud and clear: we must stop this corrupt system if we want to save the planet. And ourselves.
For the occasion, the event, born from the collaboration between CGS Cinecircolo XXI and the ReCycle Café of Civitavecchia, will be opened by an (optional) vegan aperitif in which spectators will be able to participate. The director Paolo D’Ambrosi will also speak in connection. To participate and take advantage of the drinks you will need to book your place at the Cineteatro Buonarroti box office in via Buonarroti 13. For further information you can call 351 1923062
