Pergine (Trento) – Over 300 male and female students interviewed with sports champions. Many lower secondary school students were involved in the last two meetings of the project “Olympic values at school”, organized by Cones in view of Olympic Games And Winter Paralympics Milan Cortina 2026.
The objective is to make young people understand the importance of Olympic values in sport and in life by getting to know athletes first hand, listening to their story and the path that led them to excel, interacting with them and then reflecting on what they have learned .
The two events took place in the comprehensive institutions of Pergine Valsugana And Roveretopresented by the president of the Conthe Paola Moraby his vice president Massimo Excel and by the captain of the Fiamme Gialle Gianluigi Mariani. In the first case further 150 students and students met the speed skating world champions in the team pursuit specialty Andrea Giovannini And Michele Malfatti present together with the technician Matteo Anesthe; in the second the world ski cross champion Simone Deromedis and the technician Davide da Villa they told their experience in front of almost 200 boys and girls. As always, many questions were asked by the students intrigued by the presence of the sports aces. Among the questions, the way to optimally reconcile school and sport, the moment in which the athletes chose to undertake their sporting discipline and when they decided that this would be their life. And again, the role their parents had in their sporting journey, the moment of greatest enthusiasm and that of discouragement, the fear of restarting after the injury. As usual at the end of the day autographs and photos for everyone.
Thus ended the second part of the project he saw 8 samples And 5 technicians of the Fiamme Gialle involving 42 classes from 10 comprehensive schools in Trentino in nine meetings, for a total of 900 lower secondary school students and 350 high school students. Now the individual middle school classes will continue the process independently by developing, with the support of the teachers, a text of the experience they lived and the values they were able to appreciate during the meetings with the champions. The best piece of writing will be rewarded with a two-day stay in the barracks of the Fiamme Gialle Alpine School in Predazzo, including training, excursions and numerous sporting experiences.
