Orientation at Nicolini: a morning of jazz and new technologies

Friday 19 April, from 9.00 to 13.00 in the Concert Hall of Nicolini Conservatorycontinues the educational-musical review of the orientation that the conservatory offers for school and university courses.
The MUR project, financed by the European Union, aims to facilitate and encourage the transition from upper secondary school to university and to reduce the number of university dropouts by offering students of all high school classes some concert lessons based on interdisciplinarity: the close relationship between music and art, theatre, nature, philosophy, history, literature, mathematics, economics, medicine and society.

the program

On the morning of April 19th, several interconnected topics and workshops will be addressed: keyboards and strings (pianos, harpsichords, organs, harps, xylophones, vibraphones), writing and improvisations (compositions between yesterday and today, new technologies) and jazz between past and present.

Furthermore, during the meetings the educational offer of the Conservatory will be presented, which is divided into different levels: three-year first level and two-year second level university courses, preparatory courses (recognised by the MUR), introductory courses (mainly aimed at primary schools and lower secondary schools, but also to adults) and free courses which do not involve the obligation to attend additional subjects.
