Second day of training at Pescara. The match against Ancona is getting closer and closer: Merola and Aloi still in the box. Difficult recovery?
For Pescara, preparation for the match against Ancona continues. With the play-offs now within reach, the objective is to close the regular season in the best possible way and perhaps defend sixth place.
To do this you must not let your guard down since they are pushing from behind and any mistake could cost you very dearly. A factor not to be underestimated in Cascione’s choices. The coach could decide for this match not to let the best players catch their breath even if some decisions could be forced. Merola and Aloi, in fact, continue to be in the pits.
The conditions of Merola and Aloi
Officially Merola and Aloi are in the pits due to fatigue. Cascione’s hope is to have them already tomorrow, Thursday 18 April, in the group and then call them up on Sunday. However, the desire is not to risk anything to avoid running into even more serious problems. For this reason they will only be deployed if the conditions are optimal.
Final decisions will be made between Friday and Saturday and based on their feelings. For both, however, the possibility of starting is not high. The play-offs are now approaching and, therefore, it is forbidden to commit naivety even from a physical point of view. We will see what Cascione’s choices will be in this sense, but the watchword is only one: avoid serious injuries.
Cascione hopes for the recovery of Merola and Aloi
There hope of Cascione is to have both at least for the bench. There is no intention of risking an even more serious injury and for this reason, to date, the greatest possibility is that of him entering the race in progress. We can’t rule anything out, though, since it’s not the first time the two have had a similar problem. We’ll see if in the end the coach decides to risk something or caution will prevail with a view to the play-offs.
