CORIGLIANO-ROSSANO – The time has come to take stock of the Corigliano-Rossano Volleyball, a newborn male project born from the collaboration between Corigliano Volley and Pallavolo Rossano Asd. The 2023/24 sports season officially ended with the quarter-finals of the playoffs. An intense year, which saw the orange team achieve the objective of the promotion playoffs in a Serie C championship, as always difficult and full of high-level teams.
An experience concluded with the honorable elimination in the quarter-finals against Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia. A result that does not erase the good progress of a team always in the top areas of the table.
«It was a year characterized by great satisfactions – we read in the press note – which made us rejoice together with our fans but also by difficult moments from which we still emerged. The final result saw us reach the Promotion Playoffs, a seasonal objective achieved, unfortunately the icing on the cake of qualifying for the semi-final was missing but we certainly cannot complain anything about a group that has always shown itself united, that has worked with humility, dedication and commitment.”
Similar satisfactions came from the very young Serie D group, which also managed to achieve the goal of the playoffs. «And if we look at the youth sectors it must be stated that this collaboration – we read further on – between the two companies has borne excellent fruit. Starting from the Under 19, which boasted the title of territorial champion, then reaching the regional final, and continuing with the Under 17, first ex aequo with Abvt Cosenza but second with a lower set quotient”.
«At an organizational level – they add – we would like to thank all the people who ensured that the sacrifices faced also turned out to be pleasant for the climate that was created. Even from the point of view of the results on the pitch we can only be happy, in the first year we entered among the best eight teams in the Serie C championship which allowed us, with the sixth place finish, to participate in the playoffs. And the same goes for the kids from Serie D, who have achieved the same goal. Finally, satisfaction for the under 19 and under 17 boys, territorial champions and vice-champions respectively.”
