“There are now less than two months left until the municipal elections and FDI has the duty to express, as the first centre-right party at national, regional and municipal level, its name for the candidate for Mayor of our city. It is known to everyone that I myself proposed my candidacy, after constant discussions with the leaders of our Party.
Now I appeal for unity to give strength and concreteness not only to my candidacy but to the project that FDI must propose to the citizens of Civitavecchia, this is why I ask our regional councilor Emanuela Mari, the FDI coordinator Paolo Iarlori, the group leader Raffaele Cacciapuoti and Alessio Romagnuolo, representing a strong and deep-rooted political community, to support my candidacy for Mayor of Civitavecchia.
I believe that only by working together will we be able to achieve what the city has been waiting for and deserves for years. There have been bitter disagreements between us in recent years, sometimes violent, but today I ask them to look forward, to look to the future of Civitavecchia, and to put aside the disagreements for which I too must apologize.
