Livorno, 17 April 2024 – The Department of Economic Development of the Municipality of Livorno presented yesterday to the City Council a resolution proposal for the purchase of shareholdings in the company Provincia Livorno Sviluppo. Specifically, it involves the acquisition of 3% of the company’s shareholding.
The resolution was approved.
The department recalled the role played by Provincia Livorno Sviluppo for the promotion and implementation of community programs, as well as for the organization and coordination of initiatives to encourage the development of the economy of our territory.
For the department, the purchase is important not only to consolidate the already profitable collaboration established in recent years but, above all, for the possibility of using the company to identify training needs in the area, for the preparation and implementation of related events to community programs, for the activation of relationships with other entities operating in the field of training, for monitoring the opportunities made available to the territory by regional and community instruments, to have an operational and technical bridge with other municipal administrations.
Furthermore, entry into the Province of Livorno and Development would make it possible to strengthen the structure for the implementation and planning of European funds.
The Department of Economic Development has specified that the acquisition will take place after the positive opinion of the Court of Auditors.
