The underpass in via Marche will be demolished and expanded

The underpass in the Marche district will be demolished and expanded. In fact, on the occasion of the start of work for the construction of the underpass in Via Roma and the electrification of the Civitanova-Albacina line, the Municipality asked Ferrovie dello Stato to intervene also on the small underpass which is located a few meters away. from the station and which is currently regulated by traffic lights. RFI accepted the request, for which the underpass will be demolished and widened, to become two-way traffic, and the traffic light will be eliminated. “Thanks to RFI for the attention shown to our territory and for the investments – said the mayor Sandro Parcaroli -. A further thanks also to the citizens who made their areas available to facilitate the preparation of the construction site and, with these, also the managing bodies of the services who also collaborated for the realization of the work”. The new underpass will be two-way with a height of approximately 3.5 meters and a pedestrian passage. In the next few weeks RFI will begin the pre-arranged works for the construction of the work which will see the demolition and reconstruction of the bridge close to the summer. “A positive revolution in the city’s road system which will give breathing space to the district – added councilor Andrea Marchiori -. The infrastructural work will then be accompanied by the creation of a link road connecting with Via Ancona in order to encourage better circulation in the district “.
