ROME – Convicted definitively for the detention of one 9 caliber Beretta pistol with the serial number worn off, 7 9 caliber cartridges, and 38 6.35 caliber cartridges.
The 44-year-old convicted felon from Rossano from Corigliano-Rossano, Raffaele Sifonetti, during a blitz “targeted” aimed at searching his home and a warehouse in his availability by the policemen of the judicial team under the city police station, on the evening of May 31, 2020 he was arrested red-handed, after having indicated to the same investigators the place where he had hidden that weapon and the ammunition they were looking for following a “tip-off”.
In December 2020, the judges of the Castrovillari Court sentenced him to 1 and a half years of imprisonment and 600 euro finein March last year the sentence was confirmed on appeal, and on 4 April also by the supreme judges of the Court of Cassation who justifiably rejected the defendant’s appeal to the third and final level of judgement.
