While work continues unabated on the road that leads from Sanremo to San Romolo between Pian della Castagna and Borello, from next Monday there will finally be opening ‘windows’ in the morning and evening.
The interventions of the rock climbers and the installation of a first part of the protection net in the upstream area, which collapsed in recent weeks, will in fact allow for greater safety and, therefore, also the partial opening of the road.
From next Monday, in fact, Strada Senatore Ernesto Marsaglia will be open from 8am to 9am and from 5pm to 6pm for about ten days. Therefore the opening will be extended from 5pm in the afternoon to 9am. All with a traffic light that will regulate the alternating one-way traffic.
An initial good news for the residents of the Matuzia hinterland, today forced to use alternative roads such as the Coldirodi-San Romolo, the road from Perinaldo or the Ghimbegna from Ceriana. Even if it is not yet official, it cannot be ruled out that, given the timing of the works, the total opening may be earlier than expected.
