Students visiting Secomar 4

Students of the naval management course of the Itis ‘Nullo Baldini’ of Ravenna visited the Secomar Quattro ship in the port on Friday. The techniques for cleaning up marine pollution with which the vehicle is equipped were illustrated to the children. The request for the visit came from the Marevivo Foundation, which is implementing the “NauticinBlu” environmental education project for the seventh consecutive year, intended for students of Nautical Institutes throughout the national territory and aimed at promoting knowledge of the meaning of conservation and development sustainability of the sea and its resources.

The Secomar Quattro naval unit is owned by the Ravenna-based Secomar Spa, (Itelyum Group), whose headquarters are in Marina di Ravenna where it has a dock in the Piombone Canal area. It currently operates throughout the country within the framework of the Castalia Consorzio Stabile Agreement with the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security. Secomar Spa also deals with the collection, transport and sending for treatment of liquid waste produced by ships, cleaning of bodies of water and the supply of petroleum products and on-board supplies to ships.
