Maintenance and new works for the battered Molise road system, funding for around one billion euros. This is what is foreseen in the 2021-2025 program contract signed by Anas and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. This was announced today during a meeting at the regional council headquarters in Campobasso by the undersecretary of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with delegation to CIPES, Alessandro Morelli.

“The Government intends to invest to improve the quality of life and safety – his words – this is also the objective for the internal areas which must return to the center of political attention and beyond”.

Among the arteries that require urgent improvement interventions are Bifernina and Trignina, two strategic infrastructures for the economic, tourist and social development of Molise. Not only large works, therefore, but maximum attention from the central government also on small and medium-sized ones. For the Bifernina we are working on a doubling project. This was anticipated by regional councilor Michele Marone, announcing that “thanks to the synergistic work with Anas” the long-standing problem of the works on the ‘Molise 1’ viaduct close to the Liscione reservoir will also be resolved. “We proceeded – he said – with the termination of the contract with the company that had interrupted the work and within a few days the contract will be re-entrusted to a new company”.
