Everyone on the pitch to remember Leo Brown

While the criminal proceedings have reached a turning point with the closure of the evidentiary incident, the football tournament closed to remember the 20-year-old from Viareggio who died together with his girlfriend Emma a year ago in the tragic crash in Darsena.

The football memorial dedicated to Leonardo Brown, 22 years old, the young man from Viareggio who died following a road accident which occurred on 4 July 2023 in Darsena in Viareggio, ended at the “Raffaelli” sports center in Magazzeno in Lido di Camaiore. His girlfriend Emma Genovali, 20 years old, also lost her life in the accident, with him riding a pedal-assisted bicycle: they were involved in a collision with a motorbike driven by a young construction site worker, who remained unharmed.

In the meantime, the evidentiary hearing ordered by the Court of Lucca to shed light on the dynamics of the accident has concluded – with the technical report having been filed – and now the Lucca Public Prosecutor’s Office will communicate it to the lawyers appointed by the families of the two boys and to the lawyer of the motorcyclist the decision made. The tournament was organized by the Lido di Camaiore club, where Leo first played as a goalkeeper and then held the role of goalkeeper coach.

The participating teams were: Lido di Camaiore, Aquila S.Anna, Pietrasanta, Ricortola, Poggioletto, Atletico QM, Ghiviborgo, Lucca Sette, Cgc Viareggio, Pieve San Paolo.
