VARESE – Tragedy this afternoon in the upper Varese area, in Castelveccana, where an elderly man was hit and killed by his own car. It happened around 5.15pm today in the courtyard in front of a house on via Europa, a narrow sloping street not far from the Provincial 69 of Lake Maggiore.
To rescue the‘elderly – 95 years old – sAmbulance and medical vehicles intervened in code red, as well as a fire brigade team. The man, who was blocked by the weight of his car against the gate, suffered very serious injuries and the intervention of the firefighters was necessary to free him and entrust him to the care of doctors. Unfortunately, however, there was nothing that could be done: the rescuers were unable to do anything other than confirm his death.
