Over 150 athletes from all over Italy, from Etna to Friuli and a city dressed in the Italian flag for two days. The Italian Para-cycling Championships which took place in Montesilvano (Pescara) were a true celebration of sport. The organization of the event was impeccable, organized by the Addesi Cycling sports club, chaired by Caterina Seccia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Montesilvano, with the Go Fast Team and with the patronage of the Abruzzo Region. The races, in line and time trial, took place in the northern part of the seafront and in the area of ​​the large hotels, with a varied crowd of spectators. Trials which were the first test for some athletes of the national team of the city Pierpaolo Addesi, in view of the upcoming World Cup trials and the Paris Paralympics. “We thank the Municipalities of Montesilvano and Città Sant’Angelo – says Addesi – for making themselves available and for contributing to the success of the event. It was exciting, among other things, to see so many citizens stopping to film the races with their cell phones.” Alessandro Pompei, municipal councilor of Montesilvano for Sport: “Resilience, commitment, effort, strength: this is the social message received from the many athletes and the various world, Olympic and national champions involved in competitions”.

Italian road-time trial double for the cyclists Federico Andreoli-Paolo Totò (men’s tandem), Riccardo Cavallini (MH1), Luca Mazzone (MH2), Natalia Beliaeva (WH1), Roberta Amadeo (WH2), Francesca Porcellato (WH3), Giulia Ruffato (WH4), Katia Aere (WH5), Giorgio Farroni (MT1), Leonardo Marchica (MT2), Matilde Coppi (WT1), Giancarlo Masini (MC1), Michele Pittacolo (MC4), Andrea Tarlao (MC5) and Claudia Cretti (WC5 ).

Tricolor for the road races for Paolo Ferrali (MC2), Riccardo Laini (MC3), Mirko Testa (MH3) and Alessandro D’Onofrio (MH4), Diego Colombari (MH5) and for the female tandem Chiara Colombo-Elena Bissolati.

In the highest podium time trial for Martino Pini (MH3), Giovanni Achenza (MH4), Tiziano Monti (MH5), Andrea Casadei (MC2) and Corrado Toro (MC3) and for the female tandem Marianna Agostini-Alice Gasparini.
