Strong wind at the ‘Mancini’ stadium in Fano, but still a pleasant match between Alma Juve and Atletico Ascoli, who share the stakes in the midweek round of Serie D. A good point especially for the Bianconeri of Patron Graziano Giordani with their fifth result useful and third consecutive draw which keeps them five points above the playout waterline. On the contrary, Alma Juve Fano, given Vastogirardi’s victory over Matese, has now slipped to penultimate place and today would be relegated to Eccellenza. Atletico Ascoli has a freer mind, takes control of the match and immediately comes very close to taking the lead with Valentino, thanks to a slip by Pensalfini: shot and providential deflection by Mancini into the corner. On Vechiarello’s corner, a touch from Cesario who sends the ball to the post and on Mazzarani’s rebound from two steps away, he finds Mancini again to save his own goal. Fano tries to raise the center of gravity with the gusts of wind that influence the development of the game. However, it was precisely the wind that facilitated the home team’s goal: a long free kick from Piefederici, the trajectory of the ball changed which mocked the Pompei goalkeeper and Mancini reiterated the goal with Vechiarello saving on the line, but for the referee Leorsini it was a goal.

On the wings of enthusiasm the hosts came close to doubling their lead first with Pierfederici and then with Mancini who tried from outside: this time Pompei blocked. On the reversal in front, Minicucci looks for the equalizer, but Guerrieri flies to deflect the ball into a corner. In the second half, Mister Manoni’s boys tried to control the match, but at half-time Atletico found the equalizer with Minicucci who ran away from Dubaz and calibrated a precise lob that slipped into the bottom of the bag. Alma Fano is no longer able to get forward again and Atletico Ascoli also tries to win in the final, first with a right-footed shot from the newly introduced Ciabuschi raised for a corner by the goalkeeper Guerrieri and then with a free kick from the former player Severini blocked by the goalkeeper fanese. It ends 1-1 and that’s fine for Mister Seccardini’s Bianconeri too.
