In the pre-match press conference, the Biancazzurri coach, Emmanuel Cascione, began like this: “On the Pescara moment, at the moment I am focused on the work that needs to be done. There is still a lot to put in place and take care of the details that can make the difference. We also have to work in anticipation of the playoffs to get there ready and prepared.”

On the lineup that will take the field at Manuzzi: “I want to change as little as possible and find the basic set-up. I always have a couple of doubts but, I repeat, there is a need for security and certainties.”

On Cesena and its relationship with the city: “The biggest problem I will have is with my daughter, because every Sunday she goes to the corner to see Cesena (laughs ed.). Jokes aside, I know a lot of people in Cesena. I was there in important moments and I always gave everything for that shirt but just like I gave everything for Pescara because I think the fans want this from us footballers.”

On tomorrow’s match, Cascione spoke like this: “It will be a good match because they won’t give anything away and will try to close the championship. We will have to play a careful match and we must be concentrated, beyond the tactical plan. But I want to see personality. We have the strength and quality to play a great match. We will need to repeat the good things done in much of the match against Pontedera and improve what we saw in the second half. It wasn’t a physical or psychological decline, but my mistake in not transmitting certain movements and a certain mentality. I don’t like to stand at the front of the area and wait. Returning to Cesena, Toscano has done an incredible job and it is no coincidence that on March 30th they can win the championship. I remember that there was talk of sacking a coach who I think is perfect and the results proved him right.”

On his Pescara: “We are on the right path because I saw my boys understand the moments of the match. There’s being frenetic and wanting to get to the goal but I’ve seen a team that instead thinks and knows how to read the moments.”

On Tunjov: “He has great qualities and can get to Serie A, but then he has to get there. He must understand that he must be available to the team, he must understand that there are moments in which to suffer and help the team on the pitch. Then in the offensive phase he has the means and I try to leave him free. This week he trained well.”
